Sterling Archer is Back!
Season 3 Review/ Spoilers
January 19th 2012. Don’t forget that date, no it’s not the day the world ends, it’s the day your favourite Super-Spy returns, Episode 1 of ‘Archer’ premiers on FX Network Thursday at 10p.m.
Archer is an animated, half hour comedy that revolves around ISIS and its employees. Although their work of espionage, reconnaissance missions and undercover surveillance is dangerous, every covert operation is actually just another excuse for the ISIS staff to undermine and sabotage each other for personal gain.
Episode 1: ‘The Man From Jupiter’
(Airs January 19, 2012) – After endless references to Burt Reynolds and his movies Archer finally gets to meet his idol/ hero/ man crush. However Archer is shocked to learn that his overbearing Mother (Malory) is dating him.
Archer Kidnaps Burt Reynolds
Spoilers Episode 1
After finding out Burt Reynolds is dating his mother, Archer deems it necessary to kidnap his idol in order to stop them seeing each other. The plot thickens as a Cuban hit squad is sent to kill Archer, but mistakenly try and take out Ray Gillete. Archer and Burt soon come to an understanding and drive off to pursue the Cubans. A thrilling car chase ensues and Burt spectacularly saves the day
Has Archer Hit its Peak?
With season 2 setting such a high standard it was hard to imagine Season 3 being better. I was right. But don’t misinterpret that statment, the words brilliant, clever, funny as hell all spring to mind when describing season 3. The Sarcasm, one-liners and raunchy innuendo are all present and accounted for with an added dash of shock and awe from the lead characters.
Sterling Archer is at his best when he’s talking to Lana, Lana, LANA!!! Cryil Figgis also has a more prominent roll in the new Season getting more time on screen and exchanges good banter with Archer and Lana.
Future Episodes
Once you’ve seen the premier episode and Burt Reynolds in all his animated glory you’ll think this is as good as it gets. Well it’s not; you have lots to look foward to:
El Contador (Airs January 26th, 2012)
Cyril is promoted to field agent, while Malory institutes a strict drug testing policy for her employees. Neither of which sit well with the staff at ISIS.

Pam’s Naked Adventure
Whenever Pam and Cheryl are on screen the laughs flow constantly. In one sceen they are joined by Ray and Dr. Krieger, who sells them all drugs, hallucinations ensue and Pam goes on a naked adventure. Needless to say this is one of the funniest scenes of Season 3.
From Archer’s Sarcasm, to Lana’s Giant Hands
Everything you expect from ‘Archer’ is present and accounted for. From Archer’s sarcasm, to Lana’s giant hands. What else could you want from ‘Archer’ except more, more, more.
