TV Icon in Movie Reboot, What a Surprise

The TV icon will be voiced by Green Wing actor Stephen Mangan in the movie reboot.

Children’s favourite Pat, who has been on TV screens for 30 years, is lured away from his village by the chance to find fame on a national talent show.

What the Voice Talent Say’s

Mangan stated that he was “absolutely thrilled” to be playing “an iconic British hero”. Stephen Mangan will be supported by Rupert Grint (of Harry Potter) and David Tennant (of Doctor Who and Harry Potter). Rupert Grint had this to say:

“Postman Pat is one of those British symbols, I suppose – you are totally familiar with him and his cat Jess, even if you have never watched the series.

Postman Pat will make his big screen debut May 24, 2013 courtesy of Icon Film Distribution, Lionsgate UK, Classic Media and RGH Entertainment. Will this be another Big hit or a hopeless flop, the latter seems more likely to me…
