It seems the makers of Ice Age have had enough of the heat and set there sights on the animated sun of Rio de Janeiro with a film entitled, funnily enough Rio.

Directed by Carlos Saldanha with voice stars including Anne Hathaway, Jesse Eisenberg, George Lopez, Tracy Morgan, Jemaine Clement, Leslie Mann, will.i.am and Jamie Foxx, the animated comedy is set to open in theatres April 8. That’s a long time away you say? Well I just thought you would want to know about it get your tickets early.

The story is about Rio a rare macaw who thinks that he is the last of his kind. Kind of a bummer isn’t it but wait he discovers that there’s another and it’s a she. Yep you can tell it gets interesting from here on in, bear in mind this animated comedy is for the family! They embark on an adventure of a lifetime filled with thrills where they learn about friendship, love and courage. AWWW!
